How do i change the inside cv joint on my 86gt toyota celica?

First thing to do is remove the axle complete from the car,remove hub nut,remove lower a-frame ball joint,cv joint is held in the trans. with a lock ring so just use a large screw driver or pry bar ,wedge it between the joint and trans. and pop it out. Lift out the whole axle assembly and lay it on the bench with the bad end in a vise. remove the c/v boot and hold the c/v joint straight and using a hammer tap/hit the joint as it is only held by a wire like snap ring. install a new c/v boot and re-install tapping the new joint on using a brass mallot so not to damage spline on new joint,reinstall new c/v boot and grease with new clamps,position the axle back in place and with a thrust snap it back into the transmission,reinstall through hub and using a pry bar pull down on the lower A-Frame to reinstall the lower ball joint,reinstall with new hub nut and tighten to manuf. specs.
