I'm changing my cv joint on the passengerside on my camry do i need to change the one on the driverside also?

no. your probably thinking of struts or shocks. Cv joints dont need to be instaled in pairs.|||No, just make sure you get the right part. There is a little gear inside that will fall down into your transmission if you remove both of them at the same time. Big time headache. Good luck
