I am changing wheel bearing on 2005 Impala. Stuck on getting cv joint clamp off. Any suggestions?

Ok, first of all, why are you taking the CV joint clamp off? You don%26#039;t have to touch it to remove a bearing.

Normal way to remove a wheel bearing on the front of a GM car:

Remove tire

Remove caliper and bracket

Hang caliper and bracket from something other than the brake hose

Remove the rotor

Remove the axle nut

Disconnect ABS connector

Remove 3 bolts holding wheel bearing to spindle

Remove bearing assy

Install new bearing assy

Install 3 bolts and tighten evenly

Install axle nut and torque to spec (usually 160 ft/lbs)

Connect ABS connector

Install rotor

Install brake caliper and bracket

Install wheel and torque bolts to 100 ft/lbs

Test drive|||Use some diagonals and cut it.|||you have to cut it,go to the parts store and get a new zip-lock clamp, its real simple to use, good luck
