Toyota or Honda. Which one is easiest to work on?

I am in the market for a new small car and am looking at either Honda (Fit or Civic) or Toyota (Corolla). I can do a lot of basic repairs and maintenance. I am wondering which one is easiest to work on in terms of the following:

transmission fluid change

brakes

cv joint axle replacement

spark plug change

distributor cap replacement

water pump

timing belt replacement

fuel filter change

thanks

Both are great cars and maintenance is about the same

About Transmission fluid change just go under the car and release the nut ... its easy for all

brakes : all cars is the same

Spark plugs : may be honda as it doesn't cover the engine with huge plastics .

distributor cap replacement : the same

water pump: Honda

timing belt replacement : the same

fuel filter change: The same
I would go with the Toyota. WHen the Honda timing belt brakes, the engine can bend valves. In the Toyota, most do NOT. Brake masters in Honda's can require a contortionist. Neither car has a distributor cap. Spark plugs only need replacement at 100,000 mile intervals. Use ONLY ELF or Mobil One oil in either car!!! Use only %26quot;top tier%26quot; fuels!!
Honda hands down on all subjects.
